When the first 20 minutes of “Dead Men Tell No Tales” flopped and flakked its way through a Caribbean town it had me thoroughly bored and thinking, “Man, the writing in this movie is just lazy.” Fortunately after the movie seemed to get out of its own way in reintroducing the audience to the old characters (was that really necessary?) it got a little better. While I didn’t think the fourth Pirates movie was that bad or that great it was passable entertainment.
